The result of the move request was: moved. There is a clear consensus for the following moves: Ruffle → Ruffle (sewing), Ruffle (disambiguation) → Ruffle, Ruffles → Ruffles (potato chips). (closed by non-admin page mover) Jack Frost (talk) 05:47, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
– No clear primary topic for either singular or plural. The sewing meaning gets 1,370 views while the software gets 3,854 and the crisps brand get 4,655[[1]]. By usage the software has a stronger claim for the singular and the crisps brand for the plural but by long-term significance the sewing meaning probably is. Google seems split for the singular between the software, verb (probably not that relevant per NOTDIC) and sewing meaning, Images and Books mainly return the sewing meaning. Google appears to only return the crisp brand for the plural though Images appears split between the crisps and sewing (though there appear to be more for the crisps) and Books appears to be split. - Oppose Ruffles (crisps) since the product is not British in origin but instead North American where they are called potato chips.--67.70.100.30 (talk) 20:40, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Ruffles (potato crisps) then? Crouch, Swale (talk) 21:32, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Oppose Ruffles (potato crisps) Potato chips is the correct term. Meve Stills (talk) 23:02, 18 March 2021 (UTC)
- Agreed, if moved, we should use Ruffles (potato chips).--67.70.100.30 (talk) 02:59, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- I'm not particulally worried about what the qualifier is, any that is compliant with our PAGs will do. Crouch, Swale (talk) 09:07, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- To be clear though I do Support Ruffle (sewing) and Ruffles (potato chips). --67.70.100.30 (talk) 05:12, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

- Support Ruffle (disambiguation) → Ruffle and also support Ruffle → Ruffle (sewing). Oppose Ruffles → Ruffles (crisps) per 67.70.100.30 and Meve Stills, but would support Ruffles → Ruffles (potato chips). —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 03:04, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support, no WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Not sure about the disambiguators chosen, but am open to alternatives.--Ortizesp (talk) 14:27, 19 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support first two as proposed, support Ruffles (potato chips) for the third. BD2412 T 03:27, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- Support first two. I’ll also support the third only if the disambiguation is changed from British English (crisps) to American English (potato chips) as the product is American. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:09, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- That shouldn’t be an issue since so far everyone that had commented has said they prefer potato chips over crisp meaning that the closer should be able to easily determine consensus even if then request is not formally changed.--67.70.100.30 (talk) 22:19, 20 March 2021 (UTC)
- I was clarifying so that it was clear, but yeah, I agree. D🐶ggy54321 (let's chat!) 22:21, 20 March 2021 (UTC)

- Support first two as proposed, support Ruffles (potato chips) for the third (per above). The company is American, so we should use the American term. Paintspot Infez (talk) 20:45, 22 March 2021 (UTC)
