Discrepancy in the list of Dolemite sequels?

[edit]

The intro paragraph says: "He was perhaps best known as Dolemite... from the 1975 film Dolemite, and its sequels, The Human Tornado and The Return of Dolemite.[3]"

Paragraph 6 of the Biography says (of Dolemite): "The film was successful and was followed by sequels, The Human Tornado, The Monkey Hustle, and Petey Wheatstraw: The Devil's Son-in-Law."

It makes sense that the second list would be longer, since the first starts with "He was best known as..." But it seems odd that one of the sequels from the intro isn't listed in the longer sequels list a few paragraphs later.

I'm guessing maybe this is because that sequel, "The Return of Dolemite," didn't come out till 2002...? Still, it *looks* like it's just an error in the copy -- listing sequels twice, and they don't match.

That's my reader feedback. I've never written any before. Hope it's helpful. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.24.176.26 (talkcontribs) 20:13, 14 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I think this has arisen because the first list includes as "sequels" the films which used the same characters, while the second, longer list (para. 6) refers to "sequels" meaning the films that followed immediately after the first film. The simplest solution is to remove the word "sequels" from the second list - which I'll do. Thanks for noticing. Ghmyrtle (talk) 12:44, 15 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replacing Infobox image

Propose that the performance photo in the Infobox (left) be changed to this headshot (centre) of the subject, moving the current photo down into the body of the article (Discography). Opinions? Sunny Clark (talk) 17:31, 27 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
