A fact from Rudi Kappel appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 26 January 2022 (check views). The text of the entry was as follows:
Did you know... that Rudi Kappel, co-founder of the first airline of Suriname, was arrested both on entering and leaving Santiago de Cuba?

Overall: Goeiedag KittenKlub, thanks for another interesting Suriname article. I did a light copyedit, see what you think. The hook could do with tightening up a bit, I'm not wild about the repetition of the name, which you could get around by saying "had an airport named after him" or similar. Also my ears pricked up when I read he was arrested in Santiago, any good story there? Finally I was gonna say add the pic, but I see now it's not possible on the license, shame. The story is covered in two newspapers (The Nieuws in Suriname and Amigoe in Curaçao), however both stories are based on an interview with Rudi Kappel, and he does say "semi-officiële papieren" (semi-official papers - The Nieuws) which was a letter of recommendation for the mayor of Paramaribo (Amigoe).KittenKlub (talk) 16:33, 15 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
