The article could do with some references to the historical aspects of chaplains on serving ships: how they were appointed, purpose, which ships would have an appointee, etc. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:38, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

An example is Rev. Charles Swan who has written a book of his journey on HMS Cambrian in 1820s, and some context to understanding the appointment and accordingly the record sets. — billinghurst sDrewth 00:40, 22 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
