I take issue with this conception that he renounced gayness. He said he was misquoted on that.

Find a source that says he was misquoted, and include it in the article (please!). According to Wikipedia:Verifiability, "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. This means that we only publish material that is verifiable by referring to reliable, published sources." We have a source in the article that doesn't quite say he renounced his sexual orientation, but gives the circumstances leading to that speculation. --Heath 69.174.65.5818:10, 21 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Nowhere in the cited source does it say that Roy Simmons has "renounced gayness" or become a born-again Christian. To the contrary, the statement appears to be groundless and should be removed. --Kstern99905:58, 21 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
