[edit]I am a personal friend of the subject of this article and he has asked me to assist in building out the article. I am not being paid. The is my first time in this situation so I will try to be very careful to abide by the Wikipedia:Conflict_of_interest policies. I intend to find NPOV references and then request edits rather than make any myself. Any advice, thoughts or suggestions much appreciated. Stuart midgley (talk) 01:09, 31 May 2018 (UTC)
I've found the following references as to Roy MacLeod being a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of London[1] and of the Academy of the Social Sciences in Australia.[2] Unless there are objections, I will incorporate these into the entry in a day or so. Stuart midgley (talk) 09:48, 28 September 2018 (UTC)
I have now incorporated those two references into the article. Stuart midgley (talk) 09:30, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
The University of Sussex 50th anniversary project outlines some information about Roy MacLeod's work there from the mid 1960s to the late 1970s [3]. Also the Royal Society of New South Wales lists him as a fellow [4] and awarded him its History of Philosophy and Science medal in 2017.[5] Unless anyone objects I will incorporate this information into the article in a few days time. Stuart midgley (talk) 10:04, 1 October 2018 (UTC)
I have made those changes. Stuart midgley (talk) 03:00, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
I propose to amend some basic biographical details - dates of major academic postings - based on his official staff page at the University of Sydney (https://sydney.edu.au/arts/sophi/staff/profiles/roy.macleod.php?apcode=ACADPROFILE300808) and his fellowship of the Royal Historical Society of England (https://royalhistsoc.org/membership/rhs-fellows-and-members/). As usual, if no-one objects I will amend in a day or so.Stuart midgley (talk) 03:06, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
I have added his fellowship of the Royal Historical Society. Stuart midgley (talk) 22:26, 20 October 2018 (UTC)
I am going to add infobox: academic to the article, I think that is reasonable. I will build up references for any data in the near future. Stuart midgley (talk) 08:23, 21 October 2018 (UTC)
I'm shortly going to remove the more citations needed box unless anyone objects - I think the page now has sufficient citations to meet Wikipedia standards. Stuart midgley (talk) 20:17, 22 September 2019 (UTC)
It's been a year since the article was expanded. Over the next week or two I'm going to tighten it up a bit and improve the accuracy of a few sections. Stuart midgley (talk) 08:15, 26 September 2020 (UTC)
