"Rump steak" is a different cut from "Round steak" in Australia

The article "Rump steak" redirects here. I would agree with this. I am originally from South Africa, now living in the US, and "round steak" neither looks nor tastes like "rump steak", which is also popular in South Africa. In my opinion, the South America cut known as "rump cover" looks more like a "rump steak" than does the US "round steak". --Frankwm1 (talk) 00:47, 22 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The description of "round steak" being called "rump steak" in Britain does not seem to match up with the diagrams of cuts of beef from the US and Britain http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Cuts_of_beef. According to these diagrams the portion of the cow which is designated "round steak" in the US is divided into "Topside" "silver side" and "thick flank" in the UK. It seems that "rump steak" should not redirect to this article Merikraven (talk) 14:48, 15 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Rump steak is a relatively chewy steak, but it shouldn't actually be tough. We really need a separate article for rump steak as there is no direct equivalent in American butchery. Rump steak is a completely different cut from round. Rump is a common South African cut which is the same cut as the UK rump cut. This page is misleading. Rump should not redirect here! It should redirect here: http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Rump_steak instead!
