EC 1978

It doesn't look to me that her celebration is causing the bar to fall, it falls down anyway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7x_IWVavg0&t=217 --UrbanGrill (talk) 14:43, 16 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much for providing this link! I completely agree--I can't see the mattress moving, and the bar seems to be falling way too soon for it to have been effected by anything Ackermann did once she hit the mattress. Also, her response doesn't seem to indicate she's thinking, "Oh no, I shouldn't have celebrated so early!" Does anyone have a non-Wikipedia source for the mattress moving theory? (If the mattress hitting one of the posts had been the cause, wouldn't the bar have dislodged on one side first? Instead, it falls down without any tilt.)Johannes Wich-Schwarz (talk) 04:35, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I decided to take out the passage in question; if anyone has substantiating evidence for the celebration theory, they can put this back in. I also removed the phrase of Simeoni being her only real rival. What about, for instance, Ulrike Meyfarth? (Admittedly, Meyfarth was in a slump during the mid 70s, but still.)Johannes Wich-Schwarz (talk) 00:19, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
