The Quote Section
[edit]I presume these "Hollywood Squares" quotes represent material written by the show's writers. Therefore I suggest it's misleading to call them quotes. I do not propose removing them as I think they represent rather well the persona Rose Marie has crafted for herself and for which she's well known. And I'm sure many other performers are closely associated with lines that they may not have created themselves. But maybe they can be described in some way other than quotes?Filmteknik (talk) 04:18, 4 November 2008 (UTC)
If they can't be attributed directly to Rose Marie, they should be deleted 208.127.59.115 (talk) 16:03, 12 May 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Filmteknik, and can see no good reason for deleting them, so I have reworded the section heading. JamesBWatson (talk) 11:24, 13 May 2009 (UTC)
I understand that the guests did their own material. I can't prove this, but this is what I was told and I don't have any reason right now to doubt it. SG —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.48.36.78 (talk) 23:54, 15 August 2009 (UTC)
My understanding, based as I recall on several statements made on the show throughout its lifetime, was that the stars were shown the questions during rehearsal, and worked with staff to come up with the answers that they gave during the show. While these answers were obviously not off-the-cuff or spontaneous responses, I think it is reasonable, given the way the show was produced, to call them quotations. Dick van Dyke Show
[edit]Seriously, this article needs to say more about her role on The Dick van Dyke Show!! 141.158.64.253 (talk) 16:03, 14 June 2013 (UTC)
- This article is about the actress. The character is discussed at Sally_Rogers_(character). - SummerPhD (talk) 03:03, 15 June 2013 (UTC)
Adding citations
[edit]As there is likely going to be increased page views on this article over the next few days, now would be a good time to add more citations and sources. I will try to add a few myself. Knope7 (talk) 01:28, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
I heard on MeTV of her appearing on Adam 12, so I bought that in from imdb. Carlm0404 (talk) 22:23, 29 June 2020 (UTC)
Misnomer in "Recordings" Section
[edit]Should the phrase "...Fletcher Henderson's band, one of the leading African African jazz orchestras of the day." be edited to read "...leading African American jazz orchestra..."? --Terp02 (talk) 15:53, 29 December 2017 (UTC)
- No. Highlighting "American" does nothing except insert POV. Ckruschke (talk) 19:32, 2 January 2018 (UTC)Ckruschke
