Still ASBO territory?

[edit]

Is the information on "crime, in the form of drug abuse (mainly of crack and heroin), street crime and anti-social behaviour" still up to date - I was under the (very) vague impression that Rose Hill had 'gentrified'? Thomas Ash 15:33, 30 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rose Hill is today one of the worst council estates in Oxford (after Blackbird Leys, and is reputidly one of the most deprived areas of England.

Anti-Social Behaviour is very high in Rose Hill and crime takes form in drug abuse (mainly crack and heroin), street crime and gang culture. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.132.136.180 (talk) 09:15, 8 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

It doesn't make sense to describe a particular council estate as the 'worst' in an encyclopedia even when some form of objective statistical info is available. Public perceptions vary as particular problems and dysfunctional families come to prominence then fade away or move on. I don't think that Rose Hill is 'better' or 'worse' than other Oxford large peripheral council estates such as Barton. --Ef80 (talk) 16:00, 4 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
