Aneka
[edit]A version of this song was recorded in the early 1980's by Aneka, as one of the follow up singles to her international hit 'Japanese Boy'. It was released on 7" single by Hansa Records, but did not become a chart hit. There are lyrics on this version that do not appear on earlier recordngs. Aneka was the pop pseudonym of Scottish folk singer Mary Sandeman.Johnpiersrees (talk) 10:40, 23 October 2009 (UTC)
Flower of Malaya
[edit]I remember hearing that "Flower of Malaya" may be an reference to Rose Chan, but cannot find any citable source(s) for this. Can anyone else?
