Sorry I haven't been able to look at this carefully yet. I'll start working on it today. Hoopes (talk) 14:22, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

In considering your entry, I realized that there is not a comprehensive Wikipedia entry for "Archaeology of Kansas," although there is a very brief Prehistory_of_Kansas#Prehistory section in the History of Kansas entry. There are a number of extant entries on Kansas sites, among them Quindaro Townsite, El Quartelejo Ruins, and a few others listed in http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Category:Archaeological_sites_in_Kansas. I realize you're busy (as are we all), but I think it would make a nice project to coordinate efforts, including those of the staff of the Kansas State Historical Society, towards creating and revising an "Archaeology of Kansas" or "Prehistory of Kansas" entry that could grow over time. It would be a great way to promote Kansas archaeology. Hoopes (talk) 14:40, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You've done a very nice job with this entry. Please look at the small changes that I've made. Among the things that I think would help tie your entry more closely into the history of anthropology are mentions and links to other anthropologists and archaeologists with whom Wilmeth was associated. You mention Wedel, which is good, but who were the mentors for his M.A. and his Ph.D.? With whom did he study at Michigan? You mention his work with a number of Native cultures. Do you know what kinds of relationships he had with living indigenous peoples? How do they view his work? Hoopes (talk) 19:59, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I think once this entry goes into the Wikipedia mainspace, it would be good to notify Canadian colleagues who may wish to augment some of the information about his work there. I know they'd appreciate knowing about this. Hoopes (talk) 19:59, 17 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]
