General article quality

[edit]

This article seems to be a smattering of random facts about root hairs, rather than a systematic treatment of their structure and function. It seems it was written by a non-expert who is unable to discern the essential vs. ancilllary. A review by a plant physiologist would improve it. Sorry I know that I should do something about it rather than just complain, but I just don't have the time. -Richard Marinos, Univ. @ Buffalo

Ancient image?

[edit]

Does a 1914 image reasonably represent current thoughts on root hair shape? This one seems to show root hairs as randomly oriented, curving and emerging at varying places on the outer wall of the cell. Andy Dingley (talk) 17:53, 17 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Elaboration on the formation and arrangement of roothair cells

Hello.

This is a source that can be used by an editor for elaborating on roothairs, it explains some observation on how a developing plant determines what is and it's not too be roothairs. 216.160.84.147 (talk) 01:57, 13 December 2021 (UTC)[reply]
