Conflicting year of birth

Reliable sources (mlb, baseball-reference, and retrosheet) indicate Locke was born in 1942. The article indicated this year up until the time of his death. His obituary indicates a birth year of 1939. An IP editor made a good faith edit revising the article to the obituary's year. I have reverted to 1942 in light of the other 3 sources. Career statistics from MLB, or Baseball Reference, or Baseball Reference (Minors), or Retrosheet

Not entirely sure why this merits a talk page conversation. It's not uncommon for famous people, including actors or sports personalities to have wrong birth dates, especially on "database" type sites, which are not always the most reliable in the first place. Of course the family released obituary is more reliable. Also, here he is in the U.S. Public Records in 1993, "Ronald T. Locke" resident in Richmond, RI. Gives his DOB as April 4, 1939.
