Geography

[edit]
  • There are numerous duplinks in this section and the subsections. I will not point them out from now, I will rather suggest using this tool yourself to detect duplinks and remove them in the article.
  • Link archipelago
  • 17 minor and small islands. What is the difference between minor and small?
  • 1,533.45 square kilometres (153,345 ha) Better convert to sq. mi
  • about 5.30% No "0" needed
  • It is generally mountainous with about 40% of its land area having slopes greater than 50% Could not understand this
  • 500 meters (1,640) feet) extra bracket
  • The major locations of areas that are highly productive and buildable are basically in Tablas and Sibuyan. "locations of" is redundant
  • These maybe found in Odiongan, San Andres, Looc and Santa Fe in Tablas Island "These maybe found" --> "These include"
  • Corona’s climatic classification system Link?
  • Should Amihan be in italics?

Demographics

[edit]
  • What is MIMAROPA?
  • Say either % or percent or per cent throughout the article
Has this been done? Sainsf <^>Feel at home 07:29, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Austronesian language family Link?

Economy

[edit]
  • Agriculture is the main industry in the province Say "in Romblon", we are starting a new section
  • Coconut is the number one crop "the most cultivated" is better than "number one"
  • 58,270.44 hectares. Convert to sqmi
  • 'Rice is the next crop being produced "...crop, cultivated in..."
  • and correspondingly, with the highest volume of production Why "correspondingly"? Does the use of this type of crops ensure a large volume? BTW it should read "have" not "with". — The first part of sentence indicates that the towns mentioned have the greatest areas planted with root crops, hence, their production volume is highest in the province. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • is surrounded by bodies of water "by water on all sides" is better
  • Only two sources for this section? Can we have more? — Not much published sources about Romblon's economy. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tourism

[edit]
  • six-meter wide volcanic , which drops for 20 meters, depth of 32 to 40 meters Convert

  • Barangay Azagra, San Fernando, Sibuyan Island No "and" before Sibuyan?

Education

[edit]
  • It is composed of 13 districts, where there are 228 elementary schools, 216 of which are public and 12 are private Why are districts combined with schools in this line? The "13 districts" part should be in the section Administrative divisions. — In the Philippines, school districts are different from administrative divisions of a municipality or town. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Sta.Fe, "Sta. Fe"?

Suggestion: Not a must for GA status and not a deficiency, but a copyedit would be in order if you wish to develop the article further.

@Lawrence ruiz: That should be all. You there? Sainsf <^>Feel at home 09:07, 7 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Sainsf. I was just busy with work these past few weeks, but I will apply these changes and suggestions soon. Thank you. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:04, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Lawrence ruiz: I am sorry but if there's been no activity here since 6 days. The review can't go on for long without any response. If there is no activity from your side on this in the next 3 days, I will be forced to fail this nomination. If you are busy, it would be better to fix these issues and renominate this when you have more time. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 04:44, 20 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Sainsf: Hi, actually Sanglahi86 already applied the changes to the article based on your recommendations, and I also made a few revisions myself just now. Just ping me if you still found glaring mistakes after your review. Thanks for your patience. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 05:50, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sanglahi86: and @Lawrence ruiz: Thanks for all the changes, did not notice them as the article was not on my watchlist. There are a few issues remaining, I am striking out the resolved ones.
  • Please fix these dablinks.
  • Duplinks are still prominent.
  • I feel we should improve the lead a bit further; at the moment it seems to be focusing a bit too much on the history of the island, it should reflect most of the important aspects of the article. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 06:58, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I answered some of your questions, Sainsf. I am currently at work so I can't proofread and copyedit extensively. Thanks. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:52, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, just keep responding regularly so that this review does not have to be closed due to inactivity. Thanks. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 10:08, 21 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lawrence ruiz: Any more improvements? We have not worked here since 3 days... Sainsf <^>Feel at home 11:20, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sainsf: Hi! I expanded the lead and added more info in it, as well as spelled out the percent signs on the text (except for those that are part of data tables). I don't know how to use the tool though for removing duplinks. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 04:16, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lawrence ruiz: Thanks for the fixes, but I am afraid I am far too busy to fix such a large number of duplinks myself. I would suggest you to take your time understanding how the tool works; it is really very simple, just read the instructions on the page and sweep out those extra links. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 04:22, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sainsf: Hello again! I've removed the duplinks using the tool you provided. Big help! Thanks! — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 06:06, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lawrence ruiz: Great! Just one issue more, you expanded the lead but forgot adding links. Sainsf <^>Feel at home 08:38, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sainsf: Hello again! Links have been provided in the lead. — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:25, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lawrence ruiz: Very well, this article is promoted! Cheers, Sainsf <^>Feel at home 09:31, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Sainsf: Thank you so much for the review and suggestions! The province of Romblon owes you a lot! — Lawrence Ruiz (talk) 09:40, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
@Lawrence ruiz: I am overwhelmed! Sainsf <^>Feel at home 09:42, 28 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
