My thoughts on the GA nominee

I think it's too early to nominate this article for GA, since Eurovision 2020 hasn't happened yet. I think it will be better to nominate the article after Eurovision 2020 happens. Chrisnait (talk | contribs) 16:35, 21 March 2020 (UTC)

Background

• "As of December 2019, the broadcaster was still discussing the method" - the word "still" is redundant
• "been given that time preceding years." - in preceding years.

Artist selection

• "On 31 January 2020, TVR has confirmed their collaboration with native label" - the word "has" is unneeded since the event happened in the past
• "Furthermore, it has been announced that Liana Stanciu" - same issue as above
• "the project has costed TVR a reported €69,000." - had cost TVR
• "Having brought together several notable composers such as David Ciente," - the word "notable" is unnecessary

Selecția Națională 2020

• "Selecția Națională 2020 was the national final format organized by TVR" - organised
• "awarded a set of points from 5–0, which was based on each member's individual set of votes from 5–0." - both mentions of "5–0" are better off written as five to zero
• "the latter was to previal in case of a tie" - latter would decide the winning song
• "Selecția Națională was aired" - shown for variety

"broadcast" seemed like a better choice for me here.

• "selected countries, except the host country" - try to not repeat the same word close together in the same sentence
• "EBU soon after announced" - more gramatically correct; EBU announced soon after
• "that intended 2020 entries were not eligible for the following year." - that entries intended for 2020 would not be eligible for the following year.
