[edit]Roma people in Greece are not assimilated to the population. They are Greek subjects and they are conscripted and do not acquire a greek ethnic identity. The same is true for the muslim Roma in Western Thrace. They are to be classified as a different ethnic group and of course not as Turks. In reality, they were considered outcasts in the Ottoman times, though they were muslims. The muslim population in Western Thrace should be divided in three subgroups, i.e. Turkish (c. 55%), Bulgarian/Pomaks (c. 35%) and Roma (c. 10%). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.75.10.86 (talk) 11:49, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

- Nalanidil, hello, and thank you for reaching out, I've moved this message here, becuase I think you were talking about this page, Romani People in Greece (not Muslim Roma in Greece, we don't have an article by that name.) You are incorrect about what I "claim", as my edit summary clearly stated,
This may be true, but it is not what the citations say. If added back citations need to be added that support this content.
Because wikipedia is an encyclopedia, the content needs to be cited with a reference in a verifiable reliable source. You added the content before the sources that already were existent in the article, but those existent sources did not back up what you added. As I wrote in the edit summary, you can add it back if you also need to add citations to back up the changes. To be clear, I did not claim the Muslim Roma didn't speak Turkish, or anything of the kind. I removed unsourced content that you added. It seems that another editor left you a message on your talk page (and edit summary on this article) about adding unsourced content, TU-nor courtesy ping. You can learn more about citing sources here:WP:CITE, sourcing here: WP:SOURCE, about verifiability here: WP:V, and here's a guide that might be helpful: WP:REFSTART. Arlije
[edit]I see this page was once named Arlije, but why they page was renamed in romani people in greece ???
Not all Roma people in Greece are belong to the Erlides. They are many differen subgroups of Roma in Greece. The Erli / Erlides are a Muslim roma subgroup in Greece, but the Arlije / Arli are Muslim Roma in North Macedonia and Kosovo. The word Arlije, Arli, Erli, Erlides derived from the Turkish word Yerli. The Arlije speak Arli a dialect of balkan romani.
--Nalanidil (talk) 23:22, 8 August 2021 (UTC)
- You are incorrect. Arlije is its own article. Netherzone (talk) 01:21, 9 August 2021 (UTC)
