How to Build a Scorpio
[edit]I am wondering how you would be able to build a modern day scorpio
- Almost certainly possible, but this is probably not the right place for discussing it! LegesRomanorum (talk) 09:34, 18 October 2015 (UTC)
I concur , but there have been a series of Scorpions made in recent times . Just poke around a bit . Next time go to the page most relevent . In this case , that's the Scorpio / Scorpion article . ToxicReap (talk) 19:02, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
Grammar In the Scorpion Subsection
[edit]The "Legionaries" line doesn't seem to make any sense . Is this the case or am I just crazy ? ToxicReap (talk) 19:04, 11 November 2016 (UTC)
Possible things to add?
[edit]Hi everyone - I was reading through this article and liked what was covered and organized. The types of engines covered cover a lot of the basic technologies. It would be nice to see more references to them used in battle or in specific texts but other than that great. I was wondering though if a Roman Corvus could be considered a type of siege engines? I know it is used mostly in maritime warfare but it was designed to break through and provide passaged through the defensive structures on a ship's deck that sometimes included wall like fortifications. I totally get that this is a minor aspect compared to the others mentioned on this page but wanted to know your opinion on the matter. Thanks No1Knows (talk) 03:41, 8 November 2017 (UTC)
Giant ballistas even physically possible?
[edit]This article mentioned ballistas firing rocks of up to 78kg, would that be even physically possible considering that you can only store so much energy in sinew/rope? This is not counting the absurd size the machine would need to be.2001:569:7019:0:F1B0:A305:8A07:9FBE (talk) 16:28, 17 August 2019 (UTC)Wakawakawaka
