Blessed Joan of Arc

[edit]

The material in this article was so hastily cut-and-pasted from the Catholic Encyclopedia that it included the fact that ca. 1914 Joan of Arc was not yet a saint. In other words, the information from the Catholic Encyclopedia is more than a century old and is in need of updating. It is also severely unbalanced POV-Catholic, giving excessive space to in-notable seventh century saints and pilgrimages which may be obsolete, and ignoring events which severely impacted the diocese, e.g. the Franco-Prussian War, WW I, WW II, and the effort to recover from the secularization that took place with the Law of Separation of 1905. There is nothing about the struggles to recover from the effects of Vatican II, with the loss of priests and funding, and the need to consolidate parishes. --Vicedomino (talk) 08:37, 17 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]
