Bishop of Scattery Island, Ireland
[edit]This is completely random! But on Irish radio this minute ('Drivetime' RTÉ Radio 1), there is a piece about how the Bishop of Brooklyn is the Bishop of Scattery Island in County Clare, Ireland. Frank Caggiano had been invited, in his role as bishop, to attend a festival there. This article mentions nothing about this bishopry having a constituency in Ireland in 2013. How on earth did the Bishop of Brooklyn become bishop of a place in rural Ireland? 89.101.41.216 (talk) 15:57, 12 July 2013 (UTC)
- I know this is late, but Inis Cathaigh is a titular see; he was appointed to it when he was made auxiliary bishop in Brooklyn. (as a bishop, they had to name him to something.) Manannan67 (talk) 14:55, 15 September 2021 (UTC)

July 2021 Latin Church revision
[edit]As of July 2021, this article was modified to eliminate the nondescript term "Roman Catholic" in favor of the more precise distinction of "Latin Church" (the sui iuris church) and "Catholic Church" (the denomination). If you believe this edit to be in error or improper, please make the relevant reversion and open discussion on this talk page or my personal talk page. Thank you. ~ Pbritti (talk) 19:46, 24 July 2021 (UTC)
