[edit]

Hi, I guess I was the meatpuppet. I am trying to contribute to the sport of roller skiing. I did not have any intention of hurting the roller ski entry. I thought this was a form of information sharing. The cat ski is a great ski device that gives more alternatives to cross country skiers. I think cross country skier should know about this new roller ski device. It is the first true all terrain roller ski. It improves upon a great sport. I am sorry for contributing. I spent a few hours on writing this up. This is the first time I tried to contribute. I am sorry for trying to help. I just thought roller skiing need more information contributed. I think we need more meat on this topic. Please let me know how I can contribute to this great topic.

Separate Roller skiing and Nordic blading

[edit]

Each type of sport should obviously have their own article. Either split this or merge rugby and American football. --Piechjo (talk) 09:12, 2 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Emulate "nordic" skiing?

[edit]

Roller skiing emulates cross-country skiing, and in particular competitive XC skiing. Roller skis are largely used for training and exercise in summer season, but in Norway there are also roller skiing races. But it is a bit odd to say that it emulates "nordic" skiing, which includes ski jumping. --Erik den yngre (talk) 15:46, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Good point. You don't see many roller Telemarkers, either. I'll fix it. FourViolas (talk) 20:55, 19 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Extreme sport?

[edit]

The "extreme sport" template was justed added. Why is roller skiing seen as extreme sport? What source? Does not make sense in my opinion. --— Erik Jr. 18:34, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I concur. It doesn't fit the description in the extreme sports article nor is it included in that article's list of extreme sports. User:HopsonRoad 23:20, 13 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
