A colleague has requested merger of the two. Actually this is a request with no validation as Rola Saad (entertainer) is a television personality born in 1948 and born in Achrafieh, Beirut and doesn't sing at all whereas Rola Saad is born in 1978 in Tannourine and is a singer. Please remove the merger request. werldwayd (talk) 10:28, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Now I have cleared the confusion with the Arabic Wikipedia. I have also created a separate page for the producer. Now both English articles are linked to their proper separate pages in Arabic Wikipedia werldwayd (talk) 11:05, 18 September 2013 (UTC) werldwayd (talk) 11:35, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
@Werldwayd: thanks, okay that's clear now in ar.wp, good work. I'll remove the merge templates, or you can if I'm not quick. Just one question (منتجة) to me means "producer," i.e. behind-the-cameras role. Is منتجة correct for the 1948 Rola Saad? Because if so then the (entertainer) is not appropriate, it should be Rola Saad (producer). Thanks for you work. In ictu oculi (talk) 15:25, 18 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
The reason I used منتجة is that she is most famous for producing Star Academy. In any case, I really don't know an exact word for "entertainer" in Arabic. We can use فنانة but that would be more like an artist. I am very perplexed on an actual Arabic translation for entertainer. Sorry. So I am changing English to producer for consistency. werldwayd (talk) 01:35, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, I was going to suggest the same thing. "Entertainer" usually means "variety performer" in English. In this case best to follow the reliable sources (which happen to be in Arabic), sorry for confusion earlier - the links to the same ar.wp page had me thinking it was a ghost and picture search (obviously) only pulled up the singer. Well done. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:15, 19 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
