removal

I removed the sentence "Matthew Jobe is their star team member" from the athletics section of the article after a look at RSU's roster and a quick google search of "Matthew Jobe" RSU and "Matthew Jobe" Oklahoma failed to yield any evidence that there is even a member of the rodeo team named Matthew Jobe. If you feel my removal was in error, please feel free to restore, but please cite a source or comment on this page. - steventity 18:50, 14 November 2006 (UTC)

I reverted to take two links both containing information pertaining to a specific incident at RSU out of the External Links section. The wikipeida is not a collection of source material. If you feel that the incident described by these links is important enough to merit inclusion in the wikipedia article, please add a section (possibly something like Controversies) and summarize it impartially. The articles added would be great to cite as references, but do not belong as External Links. steventity 13:56, 11 January 2007 (UTC)

Assessment

Re-assessment: Good job on cleaning up the older version. Article is a bit undersourced at this point to make it to B class. Some WP:MOS issues: you have footnote citations generally, but there was one inline one as well, needs to be consitent; boldface type is overused, it should only be used for the article title and for names that redirect to this article (3 out of 4 I checked didn't); there is one inline EL, and all ELs go in the EL section; and the WP:LEAD is not a good summary for the whole article and you are at a size where you can have 2 paragraphs, plus you need to add the (RSU) after the article title so people know what the abbreviation is when it is used later. Other things for improvement: needs expansion (the media section has as much content as the academics, maybe a campuses sections); history section seems focused on name changes, I'd add other history components as well; and I'd suggest adding the coor component to the infobox which not only gives readers an easy way to find it on a map, but it also will lead to a link on Google Maps and Earth. One other note, the article relies mainly on RSU sources, it is best that sources be independent of the school. Aboutmovies (talk)

Bringing Entry to Current, Feb. 2014

The university's wiki page had been information several years out of date in nearly every category, including enrollment figures, board chairman, staff members, 2008-09 events were in the future tense, etc. I am a representative of the university and acknowledge the conflict of interest. The updates were made to bring the entry up to date and acknowledge new information, such as our MBA program that is enrolling for fall 2014. I would welcome discussion on the items that were updated to reflect current reality.
