Broadcast style
Should we add a section on Rod's... shall we say... unique?... broadcast style? I mean, the Rod Allen Drinking game is just as much a part of Tiger lore as is Ernie Harwell's "long gone" call at this point. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.41.196.227 (talk) 05:30, 23 April 2010 (UTC)
- Whats so "unique" about it? He seems like a normal color commentator to me. And what's the Rod Allen Drinking Game, something you made up while hanging out with your buddies? TomCat4680 (talk) 05:56, 23 April 2010 (UTC)

A suicide squeeze has two outs, and that is what differentiates it from a regular squeeze... is he a fan of the squeeze or truly a fan of the suicide squeeze??? 63.84.231.3 20:28, 8 August 2006 (UTC)
People have also used the term suicide squeeze to reference when a runner takes off for home at the start of the pitch before seeing if the bunt is laid down - hence the term suicide...A squeeze is where the runner on 3rd checks to make sure the bunt is laid down then takes off for home
Craig Monroe
About the line about Craig Monroe, that does not belong in an encyclopedia. It is not a part of his family life and it is not a huge part of Rod's on air persona. It is just a bad joke that used to be funny.ThatsHowIRoll 17:56, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
