The Teams

[edit]

The Human Competitors

[edit]

This area has the chart with all the data on the human part of the teams, with only the name of the robots for reference.

The Robots

[edit]

This area has the chart with 'all' the data on the robots.

█> The whole section covers the teams, which include the humans and the robots, and that's why it is titled "The teams."

  • The first subsection has the chart with all of the data on the humans of the teams. It only lists the robots for reference.
  • The second subsection has the chart with all of the data on the robots of the teams. <br?>

Please stop swaping the section title about the teams with the subsection title which is about the humans.

A "Human Competitors" table would look something more like this, without the team standings, positions, etc:

Robo-Jockey Age Occupation Hometown Robo-Tech Age Occupation Hometown Notes
Name Age Occupation Hometown Name Age Occupation Hometown Notes

Or split into two separate tables, for Robo-Jockies and Robo-Techs.
This would be an appropriate match for the "Robots" table.

I think recent changes cover some of the problems you've identified, I went ahead and moved the the team standings, positions, etc before I notice you had commented here as well as below, and I don't know if another chart split is really necessary, but if you think it looks better to seperate jockey & tech go ahead with the changes, I don't see that it will hurt the article. 24.79.38.15 (talk) 21:20, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

RfC: Shouldn't the "TEAMS" section symantically/logically include all the data for all teams?

[edit]

We have a case where the titles of a section and a subsection is in dispute and being swapped, shouldn't the section with the total team data be title the teams and the subsection with the data only about the humans be titled humans, and the subsection with all the data on robots be titled robots???

24.79.38.15 (talk) 08:12, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The first subsection has a chart with more than just data on the humans. Each row contains the names of each team member, including the robot, as well as their rankings, positions, and notes.

This chart was titled "The Teams" from the beginning.

It remained titled "The Teams" when I researched and created the chart for "The Robots." (See 01:56, 20 April 2013)

The swapping that has been done is swapping in the title "The Human Competitors" for the original title "The Teams."

Additionally, in terms of sets of items, a section heading of "The Teams" implies each subsection below it will be sets of teams. This is not the case for the table "The Robots." That is a table of singletons, not teams.

Lun Esex (talk) 10:22, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

As I have already stated, the teams are all three, the two humans and the robot. I don't know what asian word you are tranlating the word "singletons" from, but it doesn't make sense in English to seperate them that way; The show is called ROBOT combat league (the stars of the show), not HUMAN combat league (they three together are the team).
You aren't following any logic but your own: As soon as Season Two comes along it will be much easier to see (as interesting as they are now), how wrong your edits are.24.79.38.15 (talk) 19:16, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, part of what you have added belongs in the general overview at the beginning instead, and the other part is currently just redundant. 24.79.38.15 (talk) 19:43, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
  • The current (just made) order of sections is probably the best. Another season can easily be added without much change to the basic general introduction of the topic of the article.
Please take a good look at these concepts and the structure before trying to change it. 24.79.38.15 (talk) 20:03, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The chart that you have suggested works with the logical seasons structure I have tried to get for the article and I am glad for your compromise. I appologize for my blunt and abrasive tone. 24.79.38.15 (talk) 22:04, 1 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Wildcard picks

[edit]

I think the page is missing competitors who voted in a wildcard selection:

  • Robohammer
  • Game Over
  • Drone Strike
  • Brimstone
  • Steel Cyclone
  • A.X.E.
  • Thunder Skull

I don't think the order of ballot boxes has changed as displayed in the episode.

  1. Robohammer voted for Thunder Skull
  2. Thunder Skull voted for Game Over
  3. Brimstone voted for A.X.E.
  4. Game Over voted for Thunder Skull
  5. A.X.E. voted for Steel Cyclone
  6. Steel Cyclone voted for Brimstone
  7. Drone Strike voted for Steel Cyclone

This is the episode with the included timestamp on the URL.197.2.58.161 (talk) 17:49, 20 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Also, the second Power-up Challenge displayed in the fifth episode:

  1. Drone Strike finished 3 minutes and 29 seconds
  2. Crash finished 3 minutes and 47 seconds
  3. Brimstone finished 3 minutes and 04 seconds
  4. Steampunk finished 2 minutes and 42 seconds
  5. Scorpio finished 3 minutes and 37 seconds
  6. A.X.E. finished 2 minutes and 34 seconds

The fastest has got two choices; choose an opponent or attach a weapon to their robot. In S1, A.X.E. choose an opponent i.e Scorpio.41.230.134.91 (talk) 20:11, 21 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
