Robinson Díaz (actor) → Robinson Díaz – Currently both Robinson Diaz and Robinson Díaz (note the different spellings with the accent on the "i") exist as redirects to the baseball player Robinzon Díaz. However, an article has recently been created for the Colombian actor Robinson Díaz (actor) – the article is wholly justified as he is widely regarded within Colombia as one of the country's best actors, with several starring roles on stage and on screen, and plenty of coverage about him from reliable sources, e.g. [1], [2], [3], [4], etc. I think as there are no other articles for people called Robinson Díaz (with that specific spelling) on Wikipedia, Robinson Díaz (actor) should be moved to the current redirect Robinson Díaz, the other redirect Robinson Diaz should now point to the actor's article, and hatnotes placed on both the actor and baseball player's articles saying "For the baseball player, see..."/"For the Colombian actor, see..." Anthony Appleyard, I understand the issue about the accents, and that while Robinzon Díaz was the only Wikipedia article with this name, it made sense to redirect the possible variations to him. The issue is more with the "s"/"z" spellings in the first name - effectively by having the disambiguation, the actor's article is taking second place to the redirect. But if you feel this is a contested move, I have no problem opening it up for debate and consensus. Richard3120 (talk) 10:59, 6 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Support per nomination. Sole Robinson Díaz or Robinson Diaz with a Wikipedia entry, thus rendering the parenthetical qualifier "(actor)" unnecessary. The accent is not at issue here since the baseball player's appellation, whether written as Robinzon Díaz or Robinzon Diaz is a different name in the same manner that the names "Allen Jones" and "Allan Jones" are different from "Alan Jones" or that "Philip Jones" is different from "Phillip Jones". Support per nom - At first I was doubtful about the removal of "(actor)" mainly because I was focused on the diacritic mark of the "i". However, I looked closely on the "z" and "s" and then am convinced that the spelling difference is substantial enough for a change. The article was recently created; to my surprise, the article is getting more views than the other. The assertions of misspellings should be proven by reliable sources; otherwise, they are merely assertions. --George Ho (talk) 22:19, 11 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]
