Archbishop of Naxos
[edit]De Noya did not actually "serve as Archbishop". Naxos was in the hands of the Turks (or as the Catholic Church puts it in Latin: in partibus infidelium). The Archbishopric was a titular one, used to give status to members of the Papal Court. --Vicedomino (talk) 14:13, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
- per the reference, Naxos (along with the islands of Andros, Paros, and Santorini) fell to the Ottoman naval commander Hayreddin Barbarossa in 1538.

Birth of de Noya
[edit]The article says, "Roberto de Noya was born in and ordained a priest in the Order of Preachers". De Noya was not born a Dominican. No one was or is. He was born in Apulia. -- Vicedomino (talk) 14:27, 22 October 2016 (UTC)
