What arguments did he use to defend public transit over auto mobility
[edit]It would be illuminating to set forth what town planning or economic arguments he employed to defend trams and public transit when they were being abandoned in rest of Australia for cars, buses and highway systems. It's well noted that he justified the return of trams (from buses?) to Bourke St in 1950s for economic reasons. This is little known or forgotten today. What else did he foresee - pedestrian malls for shopping districts? GBS2 (talk) 05:09, 18 November 2023 (UTC)
