Naming

[edit]

There are redlinks on Wikipedia to a Robert Lewers, who was president of the University of Nevada in 1914, and died in 1922. That one already has a Wikidata file. Internet sites refer to him as being both the Univ of Nev president, and president of Lewers & Cooke at virtually the same time. Robert Lewers of Hawaii is not the same person as the one in Nevada. It seemed easier to name this article as specifically in Hawaii. — Maile (talk) 21:05, 13 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@KAVEBEAR: I wish you had not moved this, per explanation above. But I'm not moving this back. Correcting the erroneous redlinks out there is a pain, but I'll do it. I foresee the problem recurring, because of the incorrect information on the internet. — Maile (talk) 11:48, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I think we can cross that path when it comes to it since the other article doesn't exist at the moment yet, correct? The same situation is with William James Smith which would probably moved to William James Smith (British politician) when William James Smith (Hawaii) is created. I already crossed that path on this one, in that I went in and corrected the red links to Robert Lewers (Nevada). Hopefully, that will steer some of it past this when that person's article gets made. — Maile (talk) 17:07, 14 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]
