Two Robert Hydes?
[edit]There appears to be a confusion between two namesakes (who may have been related). The Robert Hyde who entered Oxford University at 15 in 1610 cannot have been the same one knighted in 1603 (the undergraduate's 8th year of life!) who in 1638 stated himself to be aged 60. The History of Parliament, which gives a more credible birth year of c1578, mentions no school or other educational institution.Cloptonson (talk) 20:42, 20 November 2013 (UTC)
- The Alumni Oxoniensis seems likely to be at fault here - it makes the connection clearly, but I agree it's definitely implausible. Will adjust. Andrew Gray (talk) 20:22, 21 May 2016 (UTC)
