Content removal

[edit]

Per a request on my user talk page, I'm explaining this content removal here. I removed this content because the given sourcing doesn't adequately verify the text. The sources are NYT and News & Observer. The NYT says "The nature, scope and impetus of the federal investigation that generated the subpoenas remain shrouded in mystery..." Higdon's involvement is unclear, and is not reported by any of the sourcing here. In the second source the only content we have about Higdon is: "Higdon's office brought charges against 19 non-U.S. citizens for voting illegally in the 2016 presidential election in North Carolina." That's why I said this is potentially a WP:OR issue--we don't know what Higdon's involvement is here, and the sources don't say--making this a WP:COATRACK issue. The entire series of events could make more sense at Voting rights in the United States. Marquardtika (talk) 19:26, 13 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
