Personal Stories
[edit]I knew CAPT Kramek when he was CO of Support Center Governors Island. In fact, I got busted because of him! While I was a 3rd Class Petty Officer at Captain of the Port, New York and I was staying in the Barracks on GI, my fiance stayed over one night, a violation of the rules. Well, of all days, an inspection of my room was held. She was caught, and I was found guilty at Captain's Mast, and received seven days restriction to the base. What mad this even more funny, is that I also knew CAPT Kramek's son from the Institute of Audio Research, where we both attended. Several years later when ADM Kramek was Commandant, he visited Group/Airstation Humboldt Bay where I was stationed and I got to say hello and ask how his son was doing. Luckily I had enough decorum then to mention how he put me on report once! --Eric J. Hebert (talk) 07:22, 8 December 2008 (UTC)
