Uncited claims about COVID protestor
[edit]Someone's uncited personal gripes with a magistrate, should probably be removed:
"Rob Stary will be remembered for implicitly condoning the coward tackle (“sling tackle”) by Beau Barrett, Victorian Police Sergent, against an unarmed civilian with mental health issues. The assault occurred at Flinders Street station on the 22nd day of September, 2021. Protests were underway, at this time, to confront state imposed corona virus restrictions on public freedoms. Barrett snuck up behind the non-violent protester, Daniel Peterson-English, who was already been dealt with by other officers, who, quite competently, had the situation under control. In a similar fashion to a coward punch, Beau grabbed Daniel-Peterson by the shoulders from behind, spinning him backward to the ground, where no effort was made to prevent his head striking the hard, tiled floor of the station lobby. Barrett was suspended for recklessly causing injury, thanks to the footage recorded by a civilian bystander. Magistrate Stary decided to drop the charges, bringing his own reputation into question." 2405:6E00:2803:8D01:F32C:4181:1E12:1581 (talk) 11:40, 16 December 2024 (UTC)
