heres the deal
riving knives and splitters arent synonyms in anyway there two different worlds actually when it comes to safety A splitter is sitting too much behind the blade and most of them do not tilt with the blade whereas a riving knife is about 5-6 or or less mm apart from the blade and tilts with the blade. so a riving knife is the way to go whilst spliters are a piece of useless shit for fools. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.149.52.38 (talk) 06:24, 9 June 2010 (UTC)
