Upstream or downstream
[edit]From what I understand, bifurcations are defined to be downstream splitting, not upstream splitting, and therefore, stream numbers wouldn't be part of this. I'll read up on it to see if I'm wrong/right, but input would be helpful. Awickert (talk) 09:02, 7 March 2009 (UTC)
- I believe that to be true as well. I have removed the material about upstream splitting to Strahler number where it more rightly belongs. —David Eppstein (talk) 03:16, 2 April 2009 (UTC)
