Random Rambling

[edit]

That was utterly heartbreaking.

Insanity... that's what that play is. I remember seeing it on SportsCenter, but watching the video replay a couple of times... and then seeing the extra point miss from Carney... I just can't believe it. What an incredible few minutes of sports- that's one of those things that you'll remember as a sports fan forever. -- Kicking222 21:51, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It was pretty crazy. – 66.177.53.184 03:33, 10 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Can we find a source that this is actually the name? I've never heard of it....

http://www.prnewswire.com/news-releases/fans-recognize-river-city-relay-as-nfl-play-of-the-year---presented-by-levitrar-vardenafil-hci-59040987.html refers to it as "river city relay", but I'm not sure it's reliable. EstafetteSpurry (talk) 23:48, 22 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

More Descriptive

[edit]

The game needs more description - the event description leading up to the play leads much to be desired.

Note about ball transfers

[edit]

After the play was over (and before the extra-point attempt) there is this remark: "There was a lengthy delay while the officials determined that all of the ball transfers were indeed legal laterals." Yesterday, I added a remark "(after the pass to Stallworth)" which has been deleted. There presumably was no question about the 1st 2 ball transfers, which were not laterals: the snap from center and the pass to Stallworth. Why was the added remark removed? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.63.16.82 (talk) 16:29, 28 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
