Accuracy concerns
[edit]Original heading: "Unfair & biased blocking" ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:45, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
This user has been unfairly blocked from making accurate updates to the artist page. RITTZ has had 4 album releases on his new label & the label name is also listed incorrectly. It is named CNT Records. There is publicly verifiable sources pertaining to the updated information. Administrators refuse any editing to their outdated information & are biased against publishing accurate information about this artist. 2603:7080:9F00:8801:A848:FD19:6E60:3210 (talk) 16:24, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- Please focus on content, not editors, on article talk pages. To illustrate which parts of your comment are welcome and which are unsuitable for this page, I'll strikethrough the latter. You're welcome to discuss any conduct-related concerns with the user(s) directly by messaging them on their talk page(s). ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:44, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- Please provide reliable sources for your proposed changes. Discogs is cited below; sadly, Discogs isn't a reliable source (see below). ~ ToBeFree (talk) 19:47, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
More accurate sited information has been added, supporting the update to this artist page https://ecorp.sos.ga.gov/BusinessSearch/BusinessInformation?businessId=2453182&businessType=Domestic%20Limited%20Liability%20Company&fromSearch=True = Sites The record label formation as CNT Records LLC, as of 1/22/2018 in Gwinnett County. Apple Music, Spotify, Amazon Music & YouTube music all support the collaborations with the previously listed artists as well as his known alternate names being White Jesus & Jonny Valiant. His 4 additional records released since his formation of CNT records can be found on the verified streaming websites & apps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7080:9F00:8801:91DD:DF6E:3C0E:F5F6 (talk) 22:08, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
Request edit on 2 April 2022
[edit]This edit request by an editor with a conflict of interest has now been answered. |
- What I think should be changed: Intro bio info should be updated to site the correct record label name = CNT Records, not Cli-N-Tel entertainment. The LLC is CNT Records LLC. CNT being an acronym for Cli-N-Tel. Rittz other known names should be updated more accurately. He is known as Jonny Valiant & White Jesus as aka to Rittz. (site his previously self titled albums) The artist associations and collaboration artists list should be updated to more accurately depict his entire body of work & many collaborations with well known artists. IE: E-40, Twista, Devin the Dude, Paul Wall, Too $hort, MJG, Krizz Kaliko, & Futuristic, to name a few. His most recent 4 albums released on his current label CNT Records should be included in most recent information. IE: Put a Crown on it, Picture Perfect, White Jesus Loosies, & S.O.S. He left his old label 3 years ago & it should be represented more accurately to show his independent progress.
- Why it should be changed: It is inaccurate and out dated information

- Not done. I don't see anything here worth summarizing for the article. The artist's own YouTube page is useless as a reference, same with Spotify and Apple Music. The CNT Records LLC business is a primary source, and doesn't tell us anything in particular about Rittz. Primary sources are not suitable for building Wikipedia articles; instead, WP:SECONDARY sources should be used. Primary sources may be used to add small details but not major themes. Secondary sources that might be used to connect Rittz with CNT include this Westword piece and this HipHopDX piece. Wikipedia's biography of Rittz should summarize all the secondary sources that have been published about him. Binksternet (talk) 22:11, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- It's clear you do not want to update this artist to accuracy. Westword piece was published with incorrect information several years ago. Clintel entertainment has no association with Rittz or his management. Checking the last dated site articles would be beneficial. Have someone research current information or allow the editing of pages by someone else other than someone as out off touch with these artists as yourself. GA secretary of State is not reliable either? This is comical at this point. If verified streaming apps & verified social media is not reliable then what exactly is reliable if the only published articles are out of date? Make it a point to have accuracy on wikipedia as not to look biased toward certain artists that fit certain agendas would be ideal to keep a good reputation. A list of acceptable site information considered reliable would be appreciated, & provided with no issue to have this page updated to accuracy. 2603:7080:9F00:8801:91DD:DF6E:3C0E:F5F6 (talk) 22:21, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- The only conflict of interest here is your administrators feeling inadequate about not having accurate information & blocking people that do. 2603:7080:9F00:8801:91DD:DF6E:3C0E:F5F6 (talk) 22:25, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- I am following Wikipedia policies and guidelines. You are not. What you want for Rittz is a page that is up-to-date and accurate, but Wikipedia is not about that. Wikipedia's biography of Rittz is supposed to be a summary of all the independent WP:Reliable sources talking about Rittz, which means the most recent stuff might not be covered. Everything we tell the reader must be published already in the media. Wikipedia can't be the place where you correct the media or publish new things. You are not allowed to make Wikipedia into your own personal publishing platform: see WP:No original research, which is a hard policy. So it doesn't matter how much you think your information is accurate. Binksternet (talk) 22:32, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
- So it's not supposed to be accurate information? I'm not only requesting updated info but most importantly ACCURATE. There has never been a company named Cli-N-Tel entertainment in association with Rittz nor his management. His label is CNT Records. This had been the label name since its formation in January 1018. 2603:7080:9F00:8801:91DD:DF6E:3C0E:F5F6 (talk) 22:36, 2 April 2022 (UTC)

- I see you have also included it as Rittz connection to CNT in your denial for update, & not your original Cli-N-Tel entertainment. This the whole point here. You have the wrong company name listed on this page. His connection with CNT Records is quite clear by using primary & secondary sources. Your sources pointing to the latter company name are plain out incorrect. 2603:7080:9F00:8801:91DD:DF6E:3C0E:F5F6 (talk) 22:33, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
