Feiling citation unused

The citation for Feiling (1970) is currently unused. Options would be to remove it or move it to a Further reading section. I would suggest remove it as there is currently no Further reading section here and Feiling already appears in the main NS article. --Mirokado (talk) 15:07, 13 September 2012 (UTC)

Lloyd George Diary

Lloyd George didn't keep a diary. The obvious primary sources for his private ventings are Maurice Hankey's wickedly indiscreet diary of War Cabinet meetings, his letters to his mistress Frances Stevenson ("My Darling Pussy") and her diary, his letters to his wife (often written in Welsh), or his crony George Riddell (owner of the "News of the World"). I don't have the Macklin book to which this is cited so whether he's got it wrong or has been misquoted in error I couldn't say.Paulturtle (talk) 23:33, 10 October 2015 (UTC)

Merge?

• Strongly opposed to merge The Neville Chamberlain article was too long, so a split was definitely necessary, and the split that took place was fairly logical. Surely the early life and career of Neville Chamberlain is a legitimate topic. Wikipedia has hundreds of articles on other politicians dealing with similar scope. Just to give a few examples, we have Early life and career of Abraham Lincoln, Early life of Joseph Stalin, and Military career of Dwight D. Eisenhower. The only thing even possibly objectionable that I can see about this article is that it's the only one using the phrase "rise of". Ericoides, are you just objecting to the title? Because if so, we can just find another title. Personally, I think "Rise of Neville Chamberlain" is fine, but if you disagree, would you be okay with something like "Early life and career of Neville Chamberlain"?Ahiroy (talk) 13:25, 30 May 2021 (UTC)

Indeed. It's giving the article room to breathe and grow. Been doing a splurge of reading on the WW1 manpower crisis lately and there's probably a bit more to be said on that (that section is largely written by me) in the fulness of time. Others may wish to write up his time in office in the 1920s and 1930s, or his formative time growing sisal on Andros.Paulturtle (talk) 04:35, 13 September 2021 (UTC)

Change name?

This article is within Category:Early lives by heads of government. Every other article there (and in the subcategory for US presidents) is titled "Early life of [name]".
