Awards

[edit]

ERM says she won eight awards. Does anybody have a source stating these eight awards? The controversy surrounding her is so thick now I can barely find any information on her achievements. I found a blog entry stating six of her awards, but blogs are not reliable sources. The RazorTV video which I used as citation only shows her getting four awards (five if you count the award whose name was not announced). Also, almost every other article/video I've come across says she has won five awards by the time she was crowned on 31 July. Why did ERM say eight?--Secretss (talk) 06:22, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Citations

[edit]

Please do not cite news articles that require a paid subscription, or even a free one, to view. They are not easily accessible sources. I've managed to find a full length copy for one of the paid-subscription news article, but I could not find a full length copy for the article "The 2 Sides of Me", only an abridged version. If anyone would like to help, you can
1) (if you have access to TST Interactive) reproduce the full length article somewhere accessible,
2) find a full length copy on some other website (like an independent news blog), or
3) find another article that supports the same claims that "The 2 Sides of Me" is supporting in this Ris Low wiki article, so we can replace the citation.
Thanks!--Secretss (talk) 15:04, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Also refrain from citing news articles from The Electric New Paper. TNP articles do expire after some time, making TNP a very unreliable source.--Secretss (talk) 15:42, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Quite a bit of new content added recently without citations. Removed for now until properly cited. Refer to WP:BLP, this is a serious issue due to potential for litigation.Zhanzhao (talk) 13:22, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

NPOV and OR Statements

[edit]

Editors need to be aware of NPOV policies. In the past few edits, there has been weasel words inserted into the article. The same goes for OR statements. Zhanzhao (talk) 13:22, 6 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kelptomania

[edit]

I wonder who added in that comment for Ris Low suggesting that she has symptoms of a kelptomaniac? This is totally unsubstantiated. A kelptomaniac has an urge to steal, yes, but a kelptomaniac generally steals for fun and not for use. It has been established in court here that Ris Low stole the cards with the intent to use them, no matter what she might have said to push blame to "disorders". Someone please remove that comment in the article, thanks. --121.7.75.63 (talk) 15:41, 26 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Good point, I don't see kleptomania being associated with Ris Low in the news sources online, only in discussions of whether she has it or not. So its removed, at least for now until a verifiable source can be found for this statement.Zhanzhao (talk) 00:16, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Her successor

[edit]

"ERM said it will be interviewing a new representative to represent Singapore at Miss World 2009 in the coming days and will announce who she is shortly." Hasn't she been announced? A Miss Pilar Arlando, right? How come no one has updated it? Brendanology (talk) 13:53, 17 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Probably because its an article of the person rather than the event/representation. Then again most of the people posting here seem more interested in the person and her associated notoriety than anything else:/ But yeah that does deserve a passing mention at least in this article.Zhanzhao (talk) 00:55, 18 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

987FM incidence

[edit]

Would it be appropriate to write about the April Fools prank on 987FM on this page? Mylife2702 13:56, 1 April 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Mylife2702 (talkcontribs)
