no more redirect

The redirect to Studding sail was not really appropriate - most writers say that a ringtail is "like" a studding sail, not a type of. There are a few exceptions to this, but they appear less authoritative - they certainly ignore the labour-saving "topsail" version of a ringtail. More to go with this article - really need some illustrations, but they will be tough to find. ThoughtIdRetired (talk) 19:52, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I have come across a foto (alamy) of a Barkentine carrying a loose ringtail sail behind the Mizzen sail.
Ship looks like a pacific coast schooner of ca 1900. I do not know how to provide you with the picture.
