Firstly, the section associated with this reads like a press release. Secondly, "globally popular" is a very vague phrase. For example, here in the UK I reckon under 1% of people have them - and a good thing to if you ask me... 86.132.138.248 (talk) 22:00, 12 November 2009 (UTC)
UK ringing tone
By using a computer with Sound Forge, i have determined that the two tones mixed for the UK ringing tone are 550 Hz and 500 Hz. I've added this to the article, and I know it is correct, but I cannot find another source. Can anybody find a source for this which is not original research?Labrat256 03:46, 2 September 2008 (UTC)
- I'm afraid you're out on the frequencies. The ringback tone employed by BT (and most other PSTN operators) on all modern digital systems in the U.K. is comprised of 400 + 450Hz. BT SIN No. 350 gives a reference:
