Because of the many meanings of ring, this seems like a tough disambiguation page.

Ring(s) (Baseball)

[edit]

In this sports, the word "ring" seems to have a special meaning. Please note that I'm European and I have not the slightest idea of what a "ring" is (nor can I claim I know at least the basic rules of Baseball), but I often read it like 26 rings in sports reports. Can anyone enlighten me please? -andy 80.129.90.199 12:00, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ring(s) (other)

[edit]

In discussions of GPU computing, they talk about "supporting multiple compute rings" From the context, it sounds like some sort of task priority management capability to replace the FIFO processing that GPUs currently do, but I'm guessing. It's not any of the types of "ring" mentioned on this page. http://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=MTAwNzg — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.183.134.11 (talk) 17:44, 31 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
