About Ivan Rilski
[edit]His Name IS NOT John, it's Ivan
Regards, 89.186.201.204 09:00, 8 May 2007 (UTC) Mr. Georgiev from Sofia, Bulgaria
- Names of saints and early Christian leaders are very often Anglicized: see e.g. John Chrysostom (not Ioannes Chrysostomos), John of Damascus (not Ioannes Damaskinos), etc. Todor→Bozhinov 09:09, 8 May 2007 (UTC)
- Actually his name is not Ivan, but Iwan (pronounced 'Yoan') where 'w' is opened O. Headhunter pl (talk) 14:40, 7 October 2008 (UTC)
Content questions
[edit]I have some pictures of their pre-industrial era washing machine. Is that appropriate for this entry? It's also a popular tourist attraction, should their be more about that aspect of what the Rila Monastery is today?
- Sure, that would be cool. As you can see, we have an overly big gallery that is full of all the usual photos of the monastery. The washing machine would surely be interesting, I don't think I've seen it myself either. Cheers, Todor→Bozhinov 06:24, 19 August 2009 (UTC)
The article is missing vital information...=
[edit]Never bothers to mention how many monks now are there, or to compare how m any where in history. Will check if the bulgarian page has info, if no other comment from me appears then no...75.73.114.111 (talk) 16:32, 31 May 2013 (UTC)
