Defining strain

[edit]

I was told by a physician that it might not be best to define strain in terms of size, as the first sentence currently does. Here's a source that might help a bit in describing the dysfunction: [1]. Alternatively, I have also found this quote: "The term strain, also known as regional deformation, describes lengthening and shortening of individual myocardial fibers. The strain rate applies to the magnitude of change of length compared to the original length of muscle fiber."[2] Biosthmors (talk) pls notify me (i.e. {{U}}) while signing a reply, thx 19:08, 22 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Cause of death

[edit]

I recall hearing that dilation of the right heart can cause death by obstructing the coronary arteries, leading to arrhythmia, if I remember correctly. This should be added. Biosthmors (talk) 16:26, 16 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
