And the rest of the world?

[edit]

Right Guard is a major player in the UK, at least. If someone knows details, it would be good to add them, since at the moment you get the impression that it's *only* a US brand, which is not true. Also: "Artic Refresh"? Should that be "Arctic"? 86.154.8.126 (talk) 00:10, 4 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Right Guard is also famous in Germany but only one of a lot players - Right Guard in Germany won the "Best Brands" award of Germanys leading marketing magazine, "absatzwirtschaft", category "best new brand". That's Right Guard in Germany. -77.6.176.200 (talk) 20:33, 18 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Right Guard

[edit]

What about the Right Guard the Dead Kennedys are singing about in Holidays in Cambodia? I guess they are singing about a fascistic organisation. Do they exsist? (I am neither from USA nor a native speaker) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.225.67.40 (talk) 17:58, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Death by excessive use

[edit]

Why is there no mention of 12 year old Paige Daughtry in the UK who died of inhaling the gasses in Right Guard deoderant spray? Apparently it contains toxic gasses that effect the heart and cause death. Not as wonderful as it is made out to be! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.10.15.15 (talk) 16:44, 30 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"Hi guy" ?

[edit]

That's how I remember it, and how it has universally been represented. But every vid copy extant and represented as the original has him unequivocally saying "How ya doin' guy?". Chuck McCann himself, the actor, also not only recounts the line as "Hi Guy", but thoroughly elaborated on how it was a running gag greeting between himself and a previous actor of whom his counterpart in the commercial reminded him. He ad-libbed the line into the commercial practice sessions and it was so funny, it stuck.

I can't for the life of me reconcile the evidence of the extant commercial, and everyone and his dog's recollection. JohndanR (talk) 00:39, 10 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
