2014 election

[edit]

I was checking the results of the 2014 Ontario provincial election on the CBC News website and decided to add that he was re-elected in that district (Chatham-Kent-Essex) within a close margin. The results are not yet official though I added a note regarding the results are unofficial and added a timestamp when the results were given as of edit. Ryan (talk) 05:55, 13 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Article now updated. EncyclopediaUpdaticus (talk) 03:54, 24 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Nicholls is doing something and his reasons are deleted.

[edit]

He did not take the mRNA, and were kicked out by the party. These are true. And his reason is that he needs clinical studies on long-term effects before injection. You are allowed to think that studies on long-term effects are not needed. If so, quote someone and write their points. You should not delete his own reasons in his own article. —— CommInt'l (talk) 19:45, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

CommInt'l, Actually, we are not required to substantively reproduce the precise statements and feelings of subjects. That would get in the way of providing an encyclopedic summary of the circumstances. What you are discussing is a variant of vaccine hesitancy. He is hesitant because X, Y, Z. We do not need to mention X, Y, Z, especially not in the lead of the article. See WP:LEAD. Also just wanted to add, the vaccine has now been approved by the FDA and other government bodies in corresponding countries, and the UK approved it back in October 2020. At this point, demanding more studies is nothing more than moving the goalposts. He presumably has taken other vaccines which underwent much less scrutiny. That's not the reason to leave it out (that reason is entirely policy based as described above), but it is worth saying.— Shibbolethink ( ) 20:08, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Whatever the reasons are for the subject's vaccine hesitancy doesn't change the fact that it's vaccine hesitancy.CaffeinAddict (talk) 03:33, 29 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
  • He has taken other vaccines as said by him, so he is not hesitant to all vaccines. Anyway, I did not intend to remove "vaccine hesitancy" from the lead originally, but Shibboleth said wiki should not have too many reasons in the LEAD.
Also if any person said Nicholls should follow the FDA Emergency Authorization, you are welcomed to write them in. —— CommInt'l (talk) 15:02, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
