- ... that Richard W. Conway has made significant contributions in the fields of industrial engineering, operations research, computer science, and management science? Source: see fn 2 in article and various other cites as well

- Article:
- Newness: Created on October 8, nominated on October 15; within the 7-day limit.
- Length: 12788 characters, well more than the 1500 minimum.
- Within policy: Earwig says it is "Violation Unlikely". Possible "violations" were proper names so I'd give that a pass. This is neutral, has inline citations. AGF on ref #3, "An Experimental Investigation of Scheduling for Single-stage Production" as it seems to be unavailable offline? There also quite a few which are not linked, and are linked but are mostly abstracts but I'd AGF those.
- Hook:
- Format: Both are less than 200 characters and meet the guidelines:
- Content: I prefer ALT1 as more interesting and more specific than the generalities in ALT0.
- Other:
- QPQ: Done
- Image: Not applicable
- This is good to go, with personal preference on ALT1. Howard the Duck (talk) 00:36, 25 October 2022 (UTC)

Dick Conway passed away on Tuesday, March 19.
[edit]Dick Conway passed away on Tuesday, March 19. I fixed his birth-death stuff on the wikipedia change. Here is an article about his death: [1] How does Wikipedia go about fixing the page under such circumstances? I would love to get a picture of him on here, but I don't have one with the right license. DavidGries (talk) 14:14, 28 March 2024 (UTC)
- Sorry to hear about Prof. Conway's passing. I've done some additional updates to the article to reflect this and incorporate the piece you pointed to. As for getting a picture on, someone who actually took a photo would have to be willing to freely license it along the lines of Commons:OTRS or something similar.
