[edit]Why would the son of a Weald farmer be spending a summer in Derbyshire with time to spare to play cricket? Hops and Burton on Trent spring to mind. His elder brother was at Tonbridge School and he may also have attended there. However such suppositions need substantiation. Motmit (talk) 15:01, 15 May 2009 (UTC)
