[edit]I have remvoed the following addition, by a non-logged in user:
During this time he also taught at the boys school St Pauls, in london which had been set up by John Colet the Dean of St Pauls Cathedral. In a letter by one of his pupils Cameron Daniels, later Lord Runn wrote 'My master Baxter is an indefatiguable talker, his oratory is pronounced with the severity of its cause. His humour is found dry, but its spirit alive, and us boys cannot but only nod as if in sure attention.'Baxter's tenure ended abruptly in 1660 when he is reputed to have accidentally burned down his hall of residence.
The addition looks to me like vandalism by a schoolboy, perhaps at St Pauls School. Since Baxter was vicar of Kiderminster, he could hardly have eben teachingn in London. This looks like invention, but I am insufficiently certain to revert it out of hand. I also cannot find any reference in WP to the pupil quoted (even as a red link), as there should be for a peer. [edit]I work for Special Collections and Archives, Cardiff University - we hold a large collection of Richard Baxter's works (c. 500). I'd like to add an external link to our resource page for this collection in order to help researchers locate this material, but am aware this may be perceived as a conflict of interest due to my employment. If someone can add the external link below, or give me the ok to add it, that would be great. Thanks! Darkivist (talk) 08:26, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
