As the text was produced in Wales, scholars do not claim it as an Irish text; both citations regarding Ireland mention the clear Irish influence upon the text, but do not go so far as to call it an "Irish" text any more than scholars would claim the Book of Kells to be a Middle Eastern text due to its Biblical nature.
